I'm One!

Mummy & Daddy threw a great party for me with lots of balloons in the house. A BIG Thank You to Aunty Rachel and Uncle Nic for filling up all the balloons and helping out with the party!

I received lots of pressies. Finally, I have "real" toys to play with. Before that, I only have different types of ball??!!! Mummy bought me more toys, a croc shoe, a new mug and a toilet adaptor??!! She thinks I will poop poop in it... "wait long long"!

Thank you all the aunties and uncles for coming to my party and I love all your gifts. :)

Wink

Finally got hold of some wall decal for the only piece of white wall. In a way this wall took me 2 years to plan, design and execute. Right now I'm just hoping Jae will appreciate it and keep her itchy fingers away from it...

Auntie Jae

OCK!

She kept pointing at the clock on the wall and said "oCCK!" My mum was wondering what she was talking about...until I came back in the night and realize she was trying to saying "clock"!

Finally, she's starting to say something else beside "bbball!"

Hello Lantern Festival

Perhaps it was the fading memories of my last horrendous visit to the Cheena Garden during Lantern festival many many years back that prompted me to bring the whole family there again. After so many years I would expect the traffic control would be better. I realized I was dead wrong when we were caught in the jam to the carpark for 1 hour....only to find out the carpark is packed full.

8:45PM was the time we finally managed to park our cars.

Turns out the festival should be renamed "Hello Lantern Festival" with all the Hello Kitty "lanterns" everywhere. There was Hello Kitty in a F1 car; a Hello Kitty on the podium; a Hello Kitty on a boat. OMG the organizers totally went ga-ga with Hello Kitty and gang! Whatever happened to da traditional cheena cheena lanterns? The Chang-er and bunnies? Chinese deities? No? I can accept a bit of Hello Kitty but the whole park of it is kind of monotonous after a while. Especially when you start to find all of them the same, just in different positions and backdrop.

Cost us 15 bucks per person. Never going back there ever again!

Jae enjoyed herself very much!

Significant Milestone

Jae has been learning to walk and she's enjoying every moment of it. In fact, she's able to step her foot forward as early as 5mth old.

Unfortunately, she's been too impatient. The moment we pull her up, she will run and totally forgotten the balancing act!

Nowadays, it's been tough bringing her out. She's reluntant to be carried or even sit in her stroller. She prefer to get down and walk, and she likes daddy and mummy holding each of her little hand and walk. She looks so sweet whenever she do that and never fail to attract people's attention. She will walk, smile at people, wave at them and doing the friend kiss action just like a Miss Universe!

Look whose on the wheel!

YES! It's PaPa! Finally!
It was almost half a decade late! Mummy has been driving and nagging at the same time all these while. So it was only when I'm 9mths pregnant, he finally sign up for his 1st theory test and it took him 1 freaking year to get his ass onto the driver seat.

Anyway, ever since papa got his licence a month ago, mummy and Jae have been happily sitting at the passenger seat singing songs together, playing together, watching video together and even sleeping together...

We are happy! :O

First post from my Omnia

Stay Still and Smile!

I pity Sean, the photographer because wifey did not forewarn him the little kid of mine simply does not stay still for anything. Wifey somehow got a contact for kids' photographer and decided to take up the package months ago.

We thought it's a good idea until we realize it mean 3 hours of coaxing, carrying, feeding, making funny noises and swinging baby chair, all for the sake of catching Jae's attention to face the camera, stay still and smile.

In the end I think we caught a couple a good shots. Especially those with the little one smiling at her daddy who is making noises behind the uncle with the camera.

If they are good enough I might post a few up here. Stay tuned.

A Funny Conversation

Swimming instructor: "Wow the way she kicks is amazing!"

Mum: "Ya she could be the female version of Michael Phelps."

Swimming instructor: "Don't forget my 1% if that ever happens...you know Michael is worthed 100 millions now?!"

*Laughter all round.

That was the conversation in the pool on Wed, along with 4 more mummies and their little ones. We have been religiously bringing Jae to water confident/basic swimming lessons at Aquaduck for the past 3-4 months. Now Jae loves the pool so muc
h she's always a little happier every Wednesday. So we decided to let her continue for a couple more months and see how things goes.

Although I will never hope my little one can one day become a great swimmer, the prospect of retiring from my job and become my daughter's manager sure is a tempting thought. Heehee.

Just kidding.
